Desire Again
October thrilled my soul
with her colors,
every shade of intimation
of fire:
Red savagely burning
thru my soul
with simple desire.
Violet loose strife,
the cold edge
of fire, ablaze in the
softening light.
Yellow alluring as
a whispered
shadow
falling.
The sky with a
blue so
essentially crisp
with blue
the yellowing leaves
sighed in
resignation as they
fell.
